The Cross – The Victory

John 19:30

When he had received the sour wine, Jesus said, “It is completed!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

Jesus said: “It is completed!” What is completed? For centuries God’s people had to bring Him offerings for their sins to be pardoned. They had to live strictly according the Law given to them by Moses. The only problem was that they still kept on sinning, and satan was winning the struggle on earth.

God had no other alternative than to send His Son to live on earth without sin, and that this sinless man, Jesus Christ, accept responsibility for every body’s sin and become the offering to God for our sins. Through this deed, nobody needed to bring any offerings to God for their sins. This ensured that every person who accepts Jesus as his or her Saviour, asks for forgiveness for his or her sins, and strives to live a life as Jesus lived on earth, has Victory over satan and hell. People

The people involved in Maranatha Bana all believe in God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit, and have accepted Jesus as their only Saviour. They are dedicated to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through various means.

Johan Buitendach

Johan has a passion for children and their well-being. He channels the profits from his business to Maranatha Bana, which in turns funds various projects. God has blessed the business to such an extent that various projects have been funded, and numerous children and adults are cared for on a daily basis.

Johnny Grundling

Johnny is a therapist, counsellor and trainer in various disciplines, ranging from marriage counselling to forensic evaluation of sexually molested children. He was also a minister with the “Evangelies Gereformeerde” Church of South Africa for 40 years, during which period he served on various counsels and committees. He joined Maranatha Bana in 2007 and has initiated various projects.

Antoinette and Gerhard Wagenaar

Antoinette and Gerhard are people who just love God, and have inspired many people with their passion for Him, and their persistent will to expand Gods Kingdom. They are responsible for all the administration and allocation of funds.
