David & Goliath

1 Sam 17:28-19

When David’s oldest brother Eliab heard him speaking to the men, he became angry with David and said, “Why have you come down here? To whom did you entrust those few sheep in the desert? I am familiar with your pride and deceit! You have come down here to watch the battle!” David replied, “What have I done now? Can’t I say anything?”

1 Sam17:32 – 33 David said to Saul, “Don’t let anyone be discouraged. Your servant will go and fight this Philistine!” But Saul replied to David, “You aren’t able to go against this Philistine and fight him! You’re just a boy! He has been a warrior from his youth!”

Sometimes in life when you want to try something new, or you need a break-through, every-one tells you, you won't be able to. Circumstances are against you. You don't have enough experience, you can't do this, you can't do that. God hasn't given you a spirit of fear, but of Love, Power and a Sound mind. Don't let anyone tell you, you can't do anything. If God has given you any form of ability or talent, and it can be used to expand His Kingdom, you will be successful.

Our talents are given to us by God. These talents are to be used to honour God. If you use what God has given you to honour Him, it will be blessed, no matter how small. David was a mere shepherd boy, but he used the talents God gave him, he took a stand, killed Goliath, end eventually ruled over Israel. Take the first step in faith, make use of what you have and God will supply the rest and you will reap the rewards.

Our vision is to reach both children and adults from all communities so that they can experience the Love of God, accept Jesus into their lives, and equip them so that they will be able to reach others.

Mission

To create facilities, where children and their parents, can be cared for, both physically and spiritually, and at the same time be equipped to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Maranatha Bana was founded with the sole purpose of enhancing the well-being of children and adults alike. The founding members are passionate to help children, and are dedicated to carry out the Word of God.

Learn to do what is right! Promote justice! Give the oppressed reason to celebrate! Take up the cause of the orphan! Defend the rights of the widow!

God has blessed us through divine intervention, and we are therefore driven to assist and help the needy through community projects, so that everybody who gets involved will be touched by the Holy Spirit, and see that God is Love and Miracles still do happen today.
